I love and appreciate the author being realistic with the part of not all their problems vanishing JUST cause they went back together, get engaged or got married that simple sentence of Leo saying they're different but their love is the same, that things are not perfect now make the relationship so realistic! There's not such thing like happy ending! A relationship is something built by (conventionally) TWO people and it's an everyday work...I think is mostly what the author tried to show since the beginning That's the reason we didn't get to see how they fall in love more than flashbacks (actually I left a comment about wanting to read that part, to then change my mind) and the story start with the break up
