I think what adds to her being ugly was that at the start she was full om bruises and because those look ugly people hit ger even more and even now when her bruises healed she still sees herself as ugly since she was called that for the majority of her life, so she is not ugly, the bruises were

TBH honest i think every newborn baby look ugly, they look like apes/tadpole, so maybe bcoz it was her first child and she saw it right after it was born with those blood and she didn't knew they looked like ape so, she said it was ugly lmfao
