Are we wrong because I genuinely believe we don’t...

Today at work some of our male colleagues were making rape jokes about women and we (women) weren’t having any of it... they started to gang up on us by telling us to chill like it’s just a joke and we were just dramatic... Glad our boss stepped in and menaced to fire them for their problematic behaviour, but now just seeing their faces repulses me...

That said, most of the time I use dark humor as a coping mechanism, and I believe some jokes are just meant for certain types of people who actually know what they’re talking about, and I know damn well these men weren’t in the right place to joke about rape.

I also use dark humor a lot and yea there are jokes that are meant to certain people only however I can't think of a possible sane type of people who would make rape jokes and not be a rapist or enabler ┗( T﹏T )┛

Similar thing happened to me before, one of my older male colleagues, during our lunch break said he dreamed of raping me and the males made jokes about it and laughing like it ain't big deal, they FAFO cause I ain't having shit, when I felt the initial HR I talked wasn't helping much I involved labor laws in my country, they all got fired. I had to resign cuz it didn't sit well with me when my supervisor tried to cover for that asshole

I don’t think you were wrong at all, joking about sexual assault can never be justified.

Imagine the horror when sitting near them when they're drunk..
