Around that same time the black haired guy was captured and put into prison. So he forgot about the half year he spent teaching emotions and stories to the black haired dude.
Then an undetermined amount of time later the black haired guy (who is a crowned prince of the black tortoise.) escaped from jail and the other guy found him and nursed him back to health, but had to leave for his ascension before finding out how to break the seal on his memories and decided to leave a part of his soul there with the black haired guy.
Something happened and went very wrong during that long stretch of time and be was made into a corpse with a shattered soul.
I’ll have to re-read to make this better but pretty much they’ve known each other for a long time but since white haired dude has a seal on his memories (which was broken as of chapter 112.) the story is not in chronological order and jumps around from the present to the past.

wait sorry im confused about the half year part, didnt that happen when white hair was an adult and then thr committing suicide part when he was a kid?
So he was kidnapped as a kid, and ran into the black haired guy while escaping and was gone from his father for around half a year. (But i could be wrong.)
