Honestly, I’m a little thankful his friends are gossiping jerks. Lyle would’ve never found out about Hazel since Ash never told him anything. So he would be out there meeting Hazel without Lyle even knowing about it if it weren’t for them.

Oh, absolutely heartbreaking. I read the spoilers too and, I know Ash never told his friends what happened but how can they get the story so wrong? They’re absolute jerks for spreading that at their friend’s partner’s party but I’m still glad Lyle was aware of what was happening and was along for the ride when Ash rejected Hazel so harshly.
