First of all, Jin was the one who actively requested to stay and supervise Jian when he was with other people. He wanted to be by Jian’s side even in his most miserable state—perhaps to ensure Jian didn’t go too far, and also because it was his job. Evidence? In chapter 47, he could have left if he wanted to, and in chapter 37, Jian even told him to leave. Jian was in an extremely bad mental state and wanted to push Jin away after discovering that Jin had been secretly working with Jitae behind his back. Before that, Jian had already been wary of Jin because he was someone working for his mother. Jian had his own plans and didn’t want to be monitored by her.
If you don’t like the uke being with other people in front of the seme, that’s your personal preference. But let’s not forget that Jin is merely an employee right now, and they are not officially in any kind of relationship. Jin has been consistently rejecting Jian’s advances.
Secondly, these two are crucial to the plot—Jitae wouldn’t have gotten this far without them. Without Jin acting as a loyal subordinate, feeding Jitae Suryeon’s dirty secrets, there’s no way Jitae could have gained the leverage he has over her. And on the other hand, if Jian hadn’t been shielding and interfering on Jitae’s behalf all this time, would Jitae have been able to act so freely?
It was Jian who brought Mieum to Jitae, giving him the final push to take action. Otherwise, Jitae would have continued his long-term revenge plan of mutual destruction alongside Jin.
You don’t have to like the secondary couple, but don’t erase their significance.

I’m aware of them not being together. But let’s be honest, having sex in front of others who aren’t there to participate is nonetheless weird. That is all I’m saying. Not sure who likes this (sex in front of someone else and drugged up, keyword: drugged) happening, but preferences like you said.
Thank you for the reminder that Jin stayed willingly, and of course he doesn’t like the state Jian is in, thus he stayed, NOT because he wanted to see him having sex with others. Plays in my point.
Me disliking them won’t erase their significance, you’re absolutely right. As you said, it’s personal preferences, I’m aware of their importance in the story but some scenes can be left out. They can absolutely be the same significance without those drugged up sex scenes. Now that is completely different from someone not participating in sex and drugs, relying on them.
And I’m not sure why Mangago cut off the rest of my post and I realise how shitty it made me look. Big sigh on my part, sorry:

Had to rewind through my website to find the edit post of this:
“I feel like this story would be much better if the second couple didn’t exist (the bodyguard/secretary dude and the druggie.), no offense but I’m so disgusted by the way the druggie Uke had sex in front of the bodyguard.
Have some decency and not do it in front.
I can’t be the only one disgusted by this action! Am I abnormal? It’s worse that he’s not getting support and probably will continue to be this way. I can’t say get a room since he’s already in a room (laughing emoji since Mangago deleted mine), but it’s just how I feel at the end.
I do pity and feel sorry for the state druggie is in. He’s relying on sex and drugs to cope, and the Secretary dude is pretty crazy to wait for the Uke to ask him for help. I’m not sure how they are going to end up together, if they even will. I’m curious, who’s the initiator and who will hold back.
I’m just not a fan of this type of dynamic. How many seasons will this story have? Anyone know?”

Regardless, my only ick is the whole messy situation in front of another, and I swear I remember Secretary guy wanting Jian to come to him first which made me grossed out. It has nothing to do with how they are overall, or that Uke has sex with others. That’s his business.
Why did Jin reject his advances, please remind me because I’m currently reading bunch of other so you can blame me for forgetting.

I feel bothered as well by this couple but after hearing jian saying "a villain will be stripped off everything" I kinda sympathize with him. I think Jian wanted to push the secretary away because he is ready for his own downfall and doesn't want to drag anyone else with him. That's why he is doing all that, petty actions. I hope he will get his own chardev since this story got the potential for it.

Oh no don’t get me wrong, I do feel sorry for Jian as well. I just don’t like anyone in this fucked up situation (drugs coping and sex), then the in front of another who is supposedly waiting for Jian to ask for help, a whole mess. Which I don’t blame Jian for being in, he has his circumstances.
Yea, Jian is self destructive. As for why secretary rejected his previous advances, probably to do with his plans.
I’m also looking for his character development. It would be a shame if he’s just discarded. Do you know how many seasons we have left?
