I mean... It's his step-mom in name only, but trully she is the person his father loves the most, and she responds to it whole heartedly!!! Also, I admire Mark to have the morals and heart to understand the situation and not use it to his own benefit or blame her about temporarily not meeting her child, something she is doing unwilling but still hurtful to the child feelings as he said (and he was neglected by his own mother :()
