Chapter 2
It’s a ugly word but that’s how racist people talk and I’m sure the author themself doesn’t say that word but it gets more intense with slurs since the point of the story is to show how poc and gay people struggle in this world (dunno if this helped clear up something)
It’s just that :
1. If it were necessary why not ? But chapter 2, it is way to early and unnecessary
2. Racism can be depicted without saying such a word… like the way when I walk into a Sephora the ladies ignore me but my flatmate is welcomed… like the way I was asked where I was really coming from etc…
I stopped after reading the chapter 2 and reading that it is only getting worse comfort me in my decision <3
You’re right but I guess the author thought they could show it only in that way ? Not excusing the author btw I’m just assuming that’s how they think and you are totally valid for not wanting to read more so dw <3
