I wonder if the Japanese to English actually translates to “can I rape you?” That’s a weird question and he immediately says just kidding? Could it be closer to “Let me fuck you?” Or “Can I fuck you?” It’s kinda like when some stories say “I like you” in the English translation but it really means moreso “I have feelings for you” which is deeper & why the characters tend to be so shook. Outside of that possible translation error- the scene in front of his sister was pedo-adjacent and a hard no. There’s nothing hot about performing sexual acts in front of a child. The author was gross af for that scene.
