Ilay is not a typical man in love, he is after all a lunatic, however while reading novel Taeui notices that after everytime they have 'fun time', he and the sheets are cleaned up and he's tucked into bed which Ilay never did for ANYONE before (they were left for someone else to take them to the hospital or to dispose). Ilay is obssesive, possesive and jealous, his love for Tay is expressed by acts of service (e.g. giving him beer, living together in a place he hates, getting korean food) and physical contact IYKYK(￣∇￣"). He would do anything and would/will give everything, if Taeui only asked. Deep down Ilay worries that Taeui will hate him and leave for someone else. He doesn't want to hurt Taeui either physically nor emotionally, and after this one situation that he did unintentionally almost killed him, he has nightmares about it. Taeui on the other hand will suffer through some of Ilay's bs, but he actually loves Ilay (he only hates him after the r*pe and the bj situation with Gable, however he is real fast to forget about those) and is freaking obssesed with his hands (fun fact: when he was cuffing Ilay to the bed, before running from UNHRDO, he actually kissed Ilay's hand (≧∀≦)). He may complain about the size of Ilay's D everytime basically, however you may also see him on top and saying that it feels good... Basically everyone around them thinks that they love each other. The way Ilay looks at Taeui, how tender he is with him and how he allows Tay to sometimes be 'violent' towards him, baffles those around which is always funny.

oh wow thanks for your ted talk! idk what's different about ilay that makes him tolerable compared to other red flag MLs. like is it because he was introduced as a psycho right from the start, so we'd know what to expect and now he's showing signs of humanity because of taeui?
i cant quite put into words what i love about his character, although i still hate his irrational and possessive actions like the rape incidents and forced bj

But yea, Ilay is a special red flag, it may be that we knew from the start that he's psycho, but also because he treated Taeui diffrently from the beginning, like telling him his name and just casually chatting, he also never really retaliated for the gun to his head, which he would if it were anyone else, but Taeui. Or maybe we're just brainwashed by Taeui who is easly tempted by pleasure and radiates optimism...

omg why did the author have to include an islamophobic statement from Taeui ... that was so unnecessary, im glad the manhwa didn't include that detail (in vol 5.ch.15)
Am I the only one who cannot feel any chemistry between Ilay and Taeui? Like idk I just don't see much of a relationship or stuff like that after so many chapters. It stills feels the same that Ilay is an asshole and Taeui has to suffer through his bs. I mean it is a slow burn but I just don't see a loving relationship in the future for them. Can the novel readers spoil that for me?
