I mean it has been 320 years, pretty sure his emotions would dull and with him obsessing over Martin (parents killer) for over 300 years it's not surprising he would want to keep him alive and close. He probably logically knows his parents weren't good and have killed many too. Idk, if you rationalize it by supernatural moralstetc and not human, then it doesn't seem so surprising he would bone his parents killer

Lmao right?? I read the summary and I immediately thought- never in my life would I fall in love with my parents murderer. It would always be at the back of my mind, evil parents or not, he must’ve loved them. Also, if my job was to kill, I would not leave a kid behind out of guilt bc you just know they’ll come after you, like you chose the job, now sleep in the bed you made and kill them all… I’m sure there will be excuses to their actions that make the murder seem justified, paint the uke tragic, or the semes revenge being overkill yada yada but this is just my initial impression
I did read it and found it enjoyable but I still dont quite feel the love between the characters. They obviously do like each other a lot but it happens so fast and with no actual buildup that it feels relatively forced.
I agree with you actually, but the curiosity keeps me going. I wanna see how this ends. But the transition to I will kill you to I love you is kinda abrupt indeed.
