ikr. like ngl the whole demon army breaking through her castle came out of nowhere. like.. huh?? were there no patrols set up that nobody had alerted them well before that messenger sent the notice a little too late?? if it's the fortress defending the region, there should've been a little more precautions especially since it's been established that the mc is at least smarter than this.
also yea, the dragon was said to be able to transform its size, but we know next to nothing about its combat abilities. could've been enough to at least fend off the army instead of the whole... whatever contrived subplot it was.
