Yes, one story is about Josh's past, when he presented as an omega, so I understand that the author put that one as a side story. But the others should have been part of the main story, because they actually continue the mainstory. All those question you have when the main story suddenly ends, starts to get addressed in the side stories. -_-
And the fan translations, for example that is the reason a lot of readers think that Bliss is female, because of the name, but it was mentioned he is the youngest Miller son and that part is missing in the fan translations. It's actually part of half of a chapter that is missing, in two different fan translations... .
Read Desire me if you can, even if it's not halfway through, but so far the best one for me. It's also the funniest. I know how everyone sees Grayson here, but you are really not prepared for Grayson as the ml/maincharacter, I think no one was.:D
Where did you read LMUIYC and the side stories for KMIYC?. I'm trying to find the translations but can't
I finished the main story of the novel in two nights!! Super fun but the ending felt so rushed and anticlimactic, the side stories are finally filling in the plot holes but I always hate when you have to read side stories to make up for some holes in the main story. I think that side stories should be bonus chapters with fun events for readers who want more of the characters and shouldn't have actual major plot points...
Still I think the story is a solid 6-7/10. I read some other Zig's novels (KML, roses and champagne and a couple of chapters of LMUIYC) but KMIYC is definitely the best one among the ones I've read.
But Kiss Me If You Can was so so so much fun. I'm an actual sucker for the total submissive whipped top and dominant bottom UGH Josh is such a great bottom and MC, he's strong, independent and super freaky in bed he's so refreshing especially since he is a marked omega. Chase is also 100% the best ML and top out of all Zig's novels. If you enjoy the tags submissive gong, naive gong, incredibly jealous gong, cat-like gong, mean-to-everyone-but-you gong... you're going to have a field day. If you are worried and I cant blame you given the author's criminal record there is absolutely no SA or rape, they do hit each other like you saw in the webtoon and Chase once slapped him because he thought Josh was cheating but he was punished (amen) and begged for forgiveness and Josh often thinks he should kidnap and chain down Chase and keep him to himself but he never goes through it (so far?) lmao. Chase was also super worried that he might have raped Josh that night they had Pete but Josh said it was 100% consensual although they went both in heat and rut.
My main complaint is that the story finished exactly when Chase discovers he's Pete's father. It left me shocked because it means the entire story was just about finding this out and there is no romance without lies, no dealing with his trauma, no getting closer to Josh's family, no flashback to their first night... super disappointing honestly. Again I'm currently reading the side stories and they are filling some of these holes but if you don't read them you're left with just the skeleton of the story, because it was quite a short story and Chase finding everything out felt just like the end of season 2 but there's not a final 3rd season??? So yeah I think 6/7 is a fair rating on my book.
For the novel links... I think the official translation is the wordexcerpt one since the site actually lincense novels but its not free. There's the blsnacks one too but it's a very very very bad MTL, chapters all over the place, missing dialogue and good chunks of the chapter and no side stories. Personally I would recommend to get the raws and make your own MTL which will be 10x better than the blsnack one...
