Your logic is wrong. You live in a country where queer people can walk freely. Korea literally would make you want to kill yourself if you’re gay.
It’s not about family, it’s about the place you live in.
I did think about that. America is the land of freedom and treat the LGBTQ community with respect and peace. Korea has problems with the LGBTQ community but day by day people are slowly accepting people’s sexuality. But, it is still hard for people who are homophobic.
I was excited and happy for Taiwan legalized same-sex marriage. It’s a big step for a better future and happy couple allow to be married.
I actually know people who are living in Korea and are Korean and they told me that what the media shows is completely different with reality. Homophobia is still rampant in Korea more than you think.
Do they act on violence about that?
If bullying students on a daily basis is a normal occurrence, violence on homosexuality is no rarity.
I’ll be honest but I can not feel the same the way of MC’s family feel about Jeong-Yoon. But, I do understand what they going through. Jeong-Yoon will go through hardship and people will have homophobia. He is oblivious but a kind and sweet kid.
I guess I have a supportive mom who loves me and my siblings.
