I just came back because of the new chapter, but I didn't read in a year (apparently, since that's when the last chapter dropped), so as far as I remember: She took over a game character from a video game she played in Japan. I don't know if this is a real memory, or some kind of visual for her to understand her powers, because those aren't really explained yet (also, with the friend that always shows up in her dreams of her "past life in Japan"). As she reached an unfavorable end to her story, she got to load a safe file from the game she used to play, setting her back into the past, for her to re-try her run.
