i cant think of any untranslated mangas/manhwas (cuz i cant read those languages) but tonsss of great novels dont get adaptations while shitty rapey ones do (legit just look anywhere on novelupdates)

there are many, for example welcome to nightmare live ,it doesn't have much smut going on but really good. the side characters also have a role and their world don't revolve around the mc.
ikr, at one time i only used to read novel, especially chinese( the mc there were strong willed). there are some good korean ones too.
