I wish I could think he’s sweet but he’s not

The ML is kinda icky at times. Like he’s not a terrible guy but I just don’t like his personality so far at certain moments bc of the way he reacts to things, like when she’s injured

I mean he’s cute at some moments like when he thought about wanting to apologize after the night he was affected by the aphrodisiac bc he didn’t want her to hate him. I just wish he showed more care towards her physical state (like after that rough night he should have checked on her) and the injuries she succumbed when she got strangled and nearly assaulted, as well as when she fell off the horse

I also don’t find his push and pull that cute, I want to like him sb but why’s he making it hard
