I don't think it's that deep, he just lied because he wanted to spend time with him. The problem will be when the guy wants to go live in Germany and leaves the other one. (in the hypothetical case that happens)

But we still got to know how Uigun gonna clear the mess of having lied about not knowing how to speak German. Or did the author forget abt it. Too early for a romance with such misunderstandings.
