I don't think there were protection in those olden times and actually periods too were quote uncommon for women due to bad health, hygiene issues. And there were no ways to judge pregnancy unless u were showing a belly. And there was like 0 sex education at that time. Its literally set in olden korean times. Plot is very politic. Male lead in annoying in beginning and rude to other but not the the fl but only after like a few chapters. Plot is confusing but try to focus on story you'll get it.

I’m sorry how can people like have sex without protection yet doesn’t think about pregnancy when their menstrual cycle doesn’t happen when it supposed to? Miss girl? Cmon now let’s not be clueless. Also is this story good? Will I get mad? I skimmed a few chapters and idk what’s this story is about. Is the male lead annoying? Rude? What’s going on?
