Hear me out

At its core, this story delivers a deeply satisfying revenge, led by very cruel & cunning MC’s. It doesn’t hold back from being disturbingly twisted, which is unusual in comics. I love that they have no issue sinking just as low as the villains.
Reading it is quite draining tho, the drama is always cranked up all the way. I’ve to take breaks every few panels, but I can't stop until I see the final revenge.

The ML is a predator with a filthy mouth, but his twisted backstory explains his cruelty, making him sympathetic. Unlike typical sob stories, his past was surpassingly unique and very dark. Finding out trash emperor raped young him & his twin made me sick. Turning out psycho after everything he’s been through was the most realistic outcome.

I feel like a criminal for admitting this lol, but I actually like him as the ML. He and the FL balance each other out. She’s too willful, and he keeps her grounded, just as she challenges him in return.
Nevertheless, some of his SA against FL can be very disgusting, which I’m trying to ignore for the sake of focusing on the actual plot.
Problematic aspects aside, they were meant to be.

The way she didn’t gaf about that sorry excuse of a mother had me cheering, now this is the type of strong boundaries I want to see in MC’s. Not to mention how she treated all the other hags of the household hoho.

This manhua is full of disgusting subjects like rape, pedophilia and incest, and that sadly also reflects reality rather than a sanitized fantasy, especially during that era where they were even more blatant.
The worst part is the child maidservants being preyed on by the grown ass assasins, I hate it and skip their panels.
The main CP’s relationship is at least more tolerable in comparison.
Author is clearly a creep because they’ve tried romanticising this pattern of gross relationships.

That being said… love how ruthless their revenge is. They’re both absolute badasses. I have a weakness for justified villains┗( T﹏T )┛
