Doing laundry every day for only two people is crazy, what is he on about? There's no way he's doing full loads, he's just being wasteful. Moldy my ass, who taught him that???
My grandma does laundry once every 2 weeks and she (kinda) lives alone.

Every two weeks !? Does she have that many clothes ?
I live alone, I work from home mostly to I'm in my PJs lost of time but I got to the gym 3-4 times a week so I need to laundry every 5 days at max otherwise I won't have any clothes.

Now imagine being two, one of the two does manual work, the other needs to be in a suit all the time. Do you think he has 15 suits under him !? Obviously he would need to do laundry more frequently.

But everyday is still too much, it's not like he only had two suits to wear either I'll understand once a week or even every 4-5 days, but doing it everyday will only make the electricity bill explode, unless they do laundry traditionally by hands lol.

She's barely mobile so she doesn't have the energy for it. It used to be every week. And of course that's enough. Except for underwear and socks you don't need to change clothes every day. And people generally own enough of those to last a week. Why would you put something in the laundry that neither stinks nor looks dirty?
And like someone else said, if he needs to change suits every day for appearances' sake then he should have at least three to switch between.

Honestly it seems to come down to cultural differences. I've noticed that Japanese people in manga seem to do tiny loads. Maybe they have small wahsing machines.

Mainly the mold thing sounded insane to me. I'm in a 3 person household, and we could do laundry every day, clothes-wise, but we tend to let it pile up
