she was innocent and he wasn’t obsessed with her. he was in love with her and gave up his life for her. she tried multiple times to stop him from killing and tried to shape him as a better person. she allowed him to kill only when it was necessary for their survival. they both wanted each other to live and they both laid down their lives for each other. her background showed why she “hated” humans, but in reality she was just heartbroken and angry at the world and herself.
you must have zero reading comprehension because you chose to focus on the romance aspect rather than the bigger picture.
I was obviously just pointing out an aspect of the story if it was included in the story then people are allowed to criticize whatever they want. He obviously wasn’t 100% in love with her the idea of her was what he loved because she looked like his mother. You obviously didn’t analyze the story as much as you thought you did. People can have different interpretations of the story and you shouldn’t be rude about it. This has nothing to do with reading comprehension but you want to mention reading comprehension in a story that is mainly pictures. You don’t know the difference between love and obsession.
are you serious? he wasn’t obsessed with her because she looked like his mother. she reminded him of all of the kindness and protection humans showed him in the past, but she had gave more emotions than other humans which was love, reminding him of the parental love of his mother. he never learned how to be a real human, and she taught and did things that paralleled to memories of his mother, reminding him that there is still good humans in the world.
he threatened to destroy her body multiple times, not at all worried about her looks. he literally fought steer in HER body, damaging and destroying her body, once her soul/spirit had transferred in his body. so what in the hell are you even reading atp?

his mother was the first to show him KINDNESS and protection from those trying to kill him, and when she died, he hated all humans. he met other humans who showed him KINDNESS and protection, and they ended up dying too. he had nobody to teach him how humans function because they had all died, until he met her. she showed him KINDNESS and did things like holding his hand, which reminded him of being a kid with his mother and having that protection from humans.
