you are Entirely missing it who is the MC closest to ??? i have fully watched not only the Anime but i have also read this on another site which has More to it but Tilty is not the Love interest of the MC she is just one of her longest friends who she has basically SAVED several times over the years that they have known each other much like that ONE COUSIN who you despise but is also the one who is often times the Closest one when you need help the most that is Tilty in a nut shell .
