While Emperor did earn mc's forgiveness that doesn't necessarily mean that everybody he killed forgave him. Setting aside everything he did to mc...He still killed people, he killed animals and he tried to kill his own son too. Aside from mc, nothing else matters to him. It's sad that most people he killed in his past life died so unfairly in a painful way, but he didn't feel any guilt towards anyone but mc he. Even after all he's done, he still got reborn as an Emperor...(-_- )ﾉ⌒┫ ┻ ┣ ┳
So, yeah... Emperor got away with it all just because his one of the main character... I don't hate him, but I'd at least like it if he suffered a lot first before reaching a happy ending.
