I think he is attracted to him in the way many masochists are attracted to sadistic people. Like he finds his sadistic actions and personality arousing so he is attracted to him because of this. If he is attracted to a man then he is gay, even if the gender isn’t the main thing attracting him. But personally I think his attraction to him isn’t entirely romantic or sexual but something else too.
To me, a story is considered BL if at least one B is in love with/attracted to another B.
But in this case, MC is attracted to the idea of being eaten/killed by the ML, and is not particularly attracted to the ML himself??? idk man
