Let me get this straight cause I think I got it now.
In the novel it was the author who brought all the previous souls of Edith. In the end the current Edith broke free from the control of plot and author control. The author continued to be Rize but this time stopped acting like Rize and acted like themselves which in the end caused everyone to hate her, get her marriage annulled and be sent off as a nun.

In the manhwa, they changed a lot of the things. Instead it was og Rize who brought the previous Ediths in order to save og Edith from her fate, each one failing to complete the second conditional, except the current Edith. Og Edith brought the author to stop the plot, but the author became a narcissist and loves being Rize, even when it becomes repetitive. Though she wanted to get out, but after meeting the first Edith, who criticised her work, the author made it her mission to prove that her novel is amazing and decided to make sure that Edith, no matter which soul possesses the body, will meet her fate, while Rize gets her perfect ending.

Og Rize and Og Edith were the ones to bring the souls into the novel world. Current Edith managed to complete the goals the Ogs had wanted; Og Rize wanted to save Og Edith while Og Edith wanted to break to the plot and author control.

But I still feel bad for Og Rize, she had to be punished for something she didn’t do. The only thing she did was bring the souls into Edith’s body. While she did apologised, she didn’t regret it as much because she wanted to save Og Edith. Og Edith gets to be free, half the previous Ediths gets to move on, while the other half are staying so they can punish the author, most of the characters, including Killian and current Edith, get their happy ending.

I’m still wondering what happened to Cliff, he wanted to be with Rize. But he wasn’t at the monastery. Is he with the author or somewhere else. Hopefully there’s side stories, since it was alluded that Edith might be pregnant in chapter 98.

So does that mean og Edith is dead from the novel?

They never meet the OGs in the novel and never mention it after the world is liberated so yes i think. I loved the novel but this part was rushed. The manwha is way better in filling the holes

I thought that when Rize got her body back I was like ‘og Edith is stuck in the so-called-monitor-room’ does that mean she’s gone for good?

I think she is gone. She chose to move on, she had the option to take back her body, but decided not to because that life is not hers anymore.
