In Chapter 99, Daon’s former friend describes all of them as weird. I think this is the most accurate description of the three of them, considering the friend’s perspective of the events prior. It’s honestly comedic because after non-stop reading I really stepped back and agreed, these guys are really weird. I was rooting for the co-worker guy because he was the only slightly rational person. I didn’t even care if they ended up together, I just wanted him to be happy. If being with Daon made him happy then so be it. That hand-holding scene in the theatre was wholesome and cute and that’s what built the expectation I had for the relationship, but that crumbled and faded away as the story went on.
