Think it depends from each couple and from ml's pov, maybe it is smth like work is work, but hanging out is not smth "distant" like work.
While the lack of communication is an issue, I think it is healthy that they can understand and accept that ml is still gonna be a pornstar and that for him, sex there is just work, no feelings involved. Give his body, take the money, all the while mc is very much aware of it. It would only be an issue if it was smth secret or if ml's partner did have an issue with it while staying in the relationship
I also personally don’t like it either, but I think most of the issues are like you said the lack of communication. Also ML brings back all this drama from work all the time. While sex may just be a means and work for him, the people around him don’t always see it the same way. So I feel like MC gets dragged into problems he should have resolved but brushes them off. Then gets mad when MC is involved with anything. I just seems like their making the MC more of a pushover and letting the ML get his way….
