I completely agree, it’s disappointing to see his character turn out this way. I really wanted him to stay that cute and playful character, someone who could have had a fun duo with Claude. Their bond had so much potential, and it would have been nice to see them grow together instead of being forced into conflict. The first prince was already a perfect choice for a villain. Changing that and making someone close to the MC into one feels like a waste. Sometimes, strong relationships make a story more meaningful than another betrayal plot.
The crown prince is very sympathetic in these novel not only he lost his mother and other person is empress even if she doesn't like the emperor but the name empress and from the start these person loved the countess and his affection is used to badly not in his favor it's the second one.
And other person will sit in the throne who is masochistic to his wife which is not emperor like as well it's the third yes as webtoonas you start to read because a little boy as he is too cute it's good but other parts is to sad
I wanted and wished for him not to turn out to be a villain. Like I wanted him to be a cute character, I hoped he would get along with claude and be adorable duo. I wished they just stayed making the first prince the fawking villain, bro. Why must he turn out to be like that? Truly disappointing and pathetic.
