I don’t think that’s the point of this story. The vibe from the get-go was meant to establish how twisted High Society is in general. If they can’t profit from a relationship, I doubt they’d be willing to just engage in small talk and build a real friendship. And something tells me that even if she were to have said friendship, her so-called friend would drop her as soon as they find out she’s a commoner.
that’s definitely true! and i completely agree with your stance regarding how that probably wouldn’t be in line w the point of this story. but while reading the latest chapter i think it’s just a thought that appeared because of the lack of said friendships in most manhwas in general
