Why do I feel like his jinx came from a trauma? I remember in Bj alex the author showed up Bj Alex's first love life and how it left him traumatised. So what IF the author used the same thing for jaekyung? I always wondered that
Yes, it must be some kind of a sexual trauma of the sort. We know next to nothing about his past.
Hopefully we get something else from jjk. His eyebrows are literally working overtime trying to put the pieces together hahaha
I've also wanted to know about his Jinx since it was mentioned. Why does he think he has a jinx? How did he even discover he had it? Also about his past to. No mention of parents, siblings, school, nothing. We only know that the coach seems to be the only one to really get through JJK thick head (even if its yelling).
JJK has only ever been with men (that we know of) who wanted to sleep with him because he's hot, a big name athlete and for money. And when you pair that with someone who's in Dan's situation, it causes terrible misunderstandings. I'm pretty sure since JJK is attracted to Dan, he thinks there's no way Dan doesn't have any sex experience.
1. JJK needs someone to help his 'jinx' and is willing to pay lots of money for someone to do it.
2. Dan being in debt and desperate, he'll take what he can get.
These 2 things plus no other communication or understanding of each others situation is a recipe for Disaster! Why would JJK think Dan isn't similar to the guys he's slept with before when he offers to right price and why would Dan consult in someone he barely even knows about being in serious debt? Terrible combo of ppl.

Though this is why the slow burn is fun (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I think ppl really need to learn patience. JJK isn't going to turn around and suddenly be perfect (thats just terrible writing imo) First season was 53 chapters long!!! We're 12 chapters into season 2!! and the creator themselves even said in their creators note (if anyone even bothered to read it):
"but there's nothing more satisfying than when a toxic top grovels after a long drag-out. The slower the burn, the sweeter the redemption."
JJK is literally labeled a Toxic Top and surprise surprise when he's TOXIC!!!

True. I remember something about the author saying second (and last) season was going to be about emotions and feelings or something along those lines. Author's cooking but patience is needed and we as readers can just enjoy or hate the ride. They're going to be together at the end, we are going to see character growth, redemption, sweet moments, a healthy development, etc. But it's also healthy to rant or criticized their work, without being offensive to the author or other readers. It's part of the fun. I just love Dan and JJK's very bumpy ride and I can wait forever to see a conclusion to their story.
I wonder when the topic about the Jinx will be explored? How long has he had it? How he got that Jinx? How he discovered he needed to have sex (with men) to "break it"? I know that conversation is going to happen sooner or later and it's gonna be a very close and personal moment with Dan probably, JJK needs to open up about himself to regain Dan's trust and forgiveness. But still, the damage is done. Right now, it's all about discovering and learning about each other for better or worse.
I kinda liked this chapter. He wanted to use granny but ended learning more about Dan and granny's life. JJK knows so little about Dan's personal struggles. Always high and mighty as he is, was about time. Of course, he learnt about Dan's been struggling with sleep, alcohol, before meeting him. Maybe because of the sexual harrasment he was victim of in the hospital and other places. JJK's gonna know that too. He's gonna learn Dan was not as sexual experienced as he told him he was and all will make sense for him about how he hurt him in their intimate moments. He's not evil but he's a brute, harsh, egotistical and strict person with a bad temper who can do good when he wants too. But, I liked that he stayed silent and let granny talk about Dan. Even if he is very responsable of a part of his granson's suffering, he can still make amends. It's getting there.
Another thing, he took granny to the beach instead of just a quick stroll around the hospital lol He wanted to gain granny's sympathy but was pretty surprised with her warm words.
I hope he feels guilty towards her in the future for all he did to Dan and takes responsability.
