anyway @stype hypocrites will cry about one scene of coercive sex in a historical manhwa wherein it’s customary to consummate that marriage with sex (historically.) and then turn around and say that’s somehow worse than the repeated scenes in which seungho rapes nakyum, assaults him, confines him, makes him cry, and hurts him. i think you came into this manhwa made as hell that the main character resembles seungho and you’re viewing it from an unfair lens of delusion.

The thing is that their consummation already had a date so there was absolutely no need for this. On top of that the other guy had said no and even fought back, and when that didn’t work he was tied up and assaulted with a bottle that he said he didn’t like.

I'm also following other comics that have SA and complaining about some of it. Just because a comic has a shady theme or plot device like SA doesn't mean we're never allowed to voice our opinions when it gives us the ick. You can enjoy your rape fetish all by yourself, no need to get defensive just because we remind you that rape is actually a bad thing. Just like it was still a bad thing in the other comics. You're here reading too, you're not morally superior just because you're not bothered by something we are. Plus ones like potn ended up with a (arguably) happy ending with character growth. So we could be reading to see if this one does too. We're free to complain, keep your fetish to yourself though.

Lastly, this current scene is the SECOND rape. Since you can't count, and tried to explain away the rape with "customary marriage rape" basically. Which he was also drugged for, and now he's too drunk to get hard, so unable to legally consent either time. Nice try though.

i never said it’s okay, let’s learn to read. i’m pointing out the hypocrisy of saying one type of sexual assault is an acceptable kind of toxic compared to the other. i read potn, i liked potn, but i’m not going to act like a child over a manhwa that looks similar in art style after tiktokers tell everyone to send hate to it.

as if i didn’t also post about being pissed off at roses and champagne having rape 82 chapters in just a week ago. yawn. put words in my mouth and deride all you want, but i said what i said. this is no worse than the rape from potn and i think it’s no coincidence this comic is getting bombed by potn fans when the seungho influence is obviously there.

It’s not hypocrisy, nobody ever said that the SA in potn was acceptable or even implied it. This comment wasn’t because of hate from TikTok I genuinely saw something wrong with the fact that there was sa in the first 5 chapters. On top of that there was comments like “stop yapping and more fakking” and more like that they were insensitive to the situation. Nobody put words in your mouth you literally tried to defend the ML’s actions with the excuse of consummation. And it’s not because I’m a potn fan I’ve read plenty of historical genre type manwha and I don’t hate on them just because I prefer potn. I genuinely didn’t like this one because of the evident immoral conduct and the insensitivity from the audience. Stop assuming and making a joke out of yourself.
