Not really, but they will put you in art classes. Ik this because theres a couple graphic design majors in my art class but you really just need to know how to use photoshop and to edit stuff
But thats also WHY youre going to college, to learn your major, so its okay if you go in blind
Nop, graphic design has A LOT of different areas you can work with, they do carry elective classes that can be focused in illustration (since some people do want to specialize themselves in that area) but for the most part you don't need to
