Dramatic irony- the characters don’t know all that we as the readers know,from the get go we’ve seen the Granny think highly of Jaegeng because what she knows is surface level : He helped Dan,gave him a home,a good paying job,and for all she knows he only left because of her. Also, this whole arc seems to be Jaegeng actually getting to know Dan and his struggles,and actually feel remorse for what he did. It’s not changing his personality considering he’s resistant and doesn’t even acknowledge he feels bad yet, it’s him getting more context and with the new perspective becoming more sympathetic towards Dan, its actually a pretty slow development so idk how u interpreted it as a complete 180

Yea I get what your saying but dude, horse crap is self centered and only cares about himself. He didn't give TWOO shots about how Dan reacted to the things he's done. Even after allat Dan still treated him nicely. Horse face literally ADDED to Dan's struggles and he knows damn well he did, obviously he didn't know exactly how much it affected Dan since Dan did have feelings for him. I just feel like author wants to rush things as if horse dookie actually cares, for example in this chapter. This doesn't even compare to all the times he's tormented and hurt Dan and yet this is all it's gonna take him to have some sympathy for him?? Yea no
As I said, the development is actually rather slow: For one Jaegeng is still being an ass to Dan and not respecting his wishes, the “one night stand” they had together last time was also just him using him as a tool WHILE trying to prove a point (that Dan DOES enjoy it) -that’s why he was “considerate” of Dan’s pleasure. It’s still VERY asshole of him, but we are getting little snippets from other characters giving him more info on Dan , added with the guilt he feels stemming from his recovery period and how everything had felt “odd” since then he’s still in the very early stages of even acknowledging that he may care for Dan more than he thinks. I mean just now he was planning to use the granny to convince Dan to come with himhe was and still is being selfish and narcissistic, but we are getting little hints of him FINALLY starting to feel some sort of guilt/making him think more of Dan’s struggles. And I actually think they are handling Dan rejecting him well, I was afraid they’d have Dan be a doormat through this pursuit but it’s great how he’s reminding Jaegeng of the line HE drew up for them and what he’s made clear, which now with Jaengeng’s confusing thoughts is giving him more questions and doubts about what he thinks/feels for Dan
Yea im pretty sure that probably what the author is going for,but I was just stating how it isn't fair that dan NOW starts getting cared about solely because of what granny had told horseshoe even though he should've been respected since the beginning. Dan deserves better
Oh no doubt Dan deserves better, and although they will most likely get together I’m at least liking that Dan actually acknowledging that his time with Jaegeng was bad and he was used /is uncomfortable despite still having lingering feelings. no longer excusing Jaegengs shit

I feel like this is seriously going nowhere. This stories plot is all messed up, yea granny asked horse shit to take Dan back to soeul and cuz of that he might try harder but for what? Just to use him for his jinxs? It doesn't make sense how the aurthor would change his personality and make him feel bad for dan when he's already done the worst of the worst
