i think it’s more than that though. because they’ve all basically admitted that they’ve killed a “maggot” before, so they’re used to seeing violence. so i think it’s something deeper, i just hope that guwon isn’t being manipulative and sinister! my heart would be broken!!!!
I think why the people both respect and fear Guwon is because Guwon does indeed protects and helps the town, but at the same time they're all afraid of what they've seen he is capable of.
