Easy. Stop reading and drop it immediately. Don't dwell on it. It's honestly better like that. I've made it my own personal rule to immediately drop what I'm reading when I start getting frustrated about it. It makes me feel better. Peace of mind and such. No one needs to know because no one really cares whether you read them or not. I've done it multiple times before like for Solo Leveling, Eleceed, Omniscient Readers Viewpoint, and many more. Many were popular works but at one point I just stopped reading each of them. But, the thing is I can always read them again when I feel like it. I reread Solo Leveling last year and actually finished it. I'm rereading ORV now.

if you want a justification for that it's simply because the manhwa uses a comical approach in the writing. i'm currently on chapter 220 of the novel and the story has a more mature tone than the manhwa. there're none of those goofy expressions, lines like "Lloyd = water", no one worshipping Lloyd statue etc. the author of the novel actually approves of the comical approach since it's funnier that way. plus, the book explain thoroughly what Lloyd is building, his reasonings for his actions, his conversations with Javier and other leaders are much more fleshed out. reading the book and the manhwa is like reading two different things. i lowkey like it since i can enjoy them twice. the illustrator of the manhwa did a QNA to explain why they changed the tone of the story but TLDR: they prioritise 'entertainment' over following the plot completely. you can read the QNA over on Webtoon.

I'm gonna rant bc I had higher hopes for this but all problems are solved by comedy or title effects and it's really disappointing if they didn't add to the realism in the first place like the cholera I would've laughed along and enjoyed it but wdym the title effect makes it impossible for any disease to happen?? especially when so many races are living together ik this is about engineering but ppl die all the time yet the manwha seems to say 'yeah natural things happen too!' and then say 'but I found a filmsy excuse so it doesn't happen!!' like Lloyds singing handling enemies bruh it was funny but it's happening every chapter now his face is ugly ok we get it what's next he's gonna get a title called 'dude against fate' and suddenly fate restoration thing is gonna end? is he gonna sing to kill the god and rule over fate? get a title to make everyone immortal? I'm getting so bored of these easy excuses idk if I can keep reading
