Oh yeah, definitely think he’s genuinely interested in him too. Jinwoo seems kind and accepting, he’s kept his good nature despite the world he lives in. Guwon should totally terrify him but even from the get go he hasn’t. I do wonder what caused him to try and stab him, like what led to that. Sleeper agent? He seems more scared and confused by his own actions than by anything Guwon has done so far and I’m sure Guwon has picked up on that.
I think there’s also hints in the title. Sisyphus was the name of a king who cheated death in Greek mythology and received punishment in the underworld. The hound part of the title makes me think of Cerberus, the hound of Hades who guards the underworld to prevent the dead from leaving.
I feel like he’s trying to manipulate Jinwoo onto his side. I’m pretty sure Guwon knows the others take advantage of him because he can’t read, etc. Now he has someone with a background in education offering to teach him which will make Jinwoo a threat to the others’ survival. Everyone is just trying to survive. I don’t feel like Guwon is human, I don’t know if he’s part maggot or something else. And there’s something majorly off about Jinwoo too but I don’t think he’s entirely aware of what he is. Maybe Guwon has suspicions about him. Anyway, really love this so far. It has an interesting story and I love how complex the characters seem.
