fr!! ppl are softer than a cotton candy nowadays. like ML isn't even human he's a goddamn dragon and it seems he've had only business/twisted relationships with humans so far (the king, the crazy lady who hated elisabetta, etc). I'm sure he'll gradually learn how to be more humane but it's not gonna happen overnight, it ain't that kind of story. For now let's just enjoy the angst (it's good) and wait for lesset and elisabetta's character development (they BOTH need it)

I dont see her as a villain for using him cuz he's literally with the forces who destroyed her kingdom. elise fell in love w him that was pretty dumb (cant really control feelings afterall) but i cant really blame her for using him to get her means.
lesset's character can be called douche-y while also keeping in mind the fact that he's a drangonborn, being dragon born is a reason, not an excuse. You can sympathize with him while accepting the fact that elise being hurt was valid
It was pretty simple really she asked if he loved her, he said no. She said aight and changed her priorities and now he dont really love her...but still wants her...thats a major douche move isnt it?

We can accept that hes a jerk and STILL like the character, those are not mutually exclusive. Because afterall if there's no scope for character development, will the story even be interesting.

He is EXTREMELY in charscter AND THATS WHY PEOPLE HATE HIM. And thats one of the BEST part of this manhwa.
He does love her albeit in his own twisted, possessive dragonborn way, hes just not ready to accept it because of being treated as a monster all his life and yeah i sympathize with him, BUT i also can say he was acting like a jerk and elise being hurt is valid cuz its not mutually exclusive to hold him accountable WHILE sympathising with him.

People entered this story with the background, he's warned her a thousand times, he has said explicitly how incapable he is of behaving like a regular human BECAUSE HE'S NOT ONE, he's more of a dragon than anything, and any good fantasy story knows dragons are fucking possessive. What do people expect? For him to be all soft and sweet and say "I finally found love, I'm a real boy!" Nah people, there are other really pricks in manhwas that people love for some reason, and they be here hating on the only one that has thrown warnings on all directions. I don't hate him, he's in character through and through. This is the type of character that can get either a happy ending or a massively disastrous one, full of tragedy and pain. And both, if handled properly, could be extremely good.
People really are turning extremely soft and emotional, really not leaving much space for rationality.
