Honestly i get what chu mean like its 24 chaps already but this adoption drama hasnt end yet. But dealing with the kids is not the same as the abuser himself. mc is probably traumatized and too scared to speak up her mind. Even when she told herself she wont be a pushover anymore, facing someone who legit killed u in past life is definitely not an easy task.

Still, doing business that she is an expect at ( handling paperwork like in last life) and the adoption process arent the same. She seems like she cant also trust other people to trust her without solid evidence( maybe she think that Jeff guy isnt really trust by grandpa) so she resolve to the book? True i guess idk i cant bring myself to feel bad for her whole crisis when an obvious solutions exists lol...she does have room to grow as a character tho I just hope it happens soon and she doesn't stay like this
