I was trying to figure out the time period because of the art. So was it normal back then for drastic age gaps? I honestly started it because of the cover I thought it was yaoi then I seen the description & thought it was about 2 teens who ran away and enter there struggle love era but it was the complete opposite. This is my first time reading something like this so I wasn't sure what to expect if I kept going.
Pretty normal it's based in America back in 80s so you can get teenager parents aren' that pretty uncommon, it's not yaoi but i think black hair guy likes blondie I wish he leave woman and goes with him alone with kid I mean what's the point of being with someone when one guy is prolly a brat himself and he is taking care of a child and mother goes to do prostitution it's not healthy environment for a child to grow up
Yea I know teen pregnancies are common no matter the era. I was referring to adults being with minors like was that normal or acceptable behavior. I also understand why she's doing prostitution if she doesn't neither her,him, or the baby can eat/survived. Especially since no one will hire him because of his age. I don't think she likes doing it either from the way she was crying and looking depressed. It's a sad situation but realistic speaking her kid will have a better chance with her then him. Cause she's working and could hire a babysitter and it's her home so there's shelter. If he were to take the baby he will be homeless & broke. And I think he realizes that and that's why he doesn't make a fuss over it. Cause he knows she hates it but is doing this for their well being.
Their circumstances are pitiful to me they need to survive but kid can't grow in environment where mother is breaking down from the stress she is going through, and her being with minor is irking me so but it's old manga so I would just accept it that it used to happen back in days may be.

I'm not sure how to feel about this cause although he's 18 he's still a teenager and both love interests are adults. The story seems interesting maybe if I change the ages in my mind.
