he's a human with emotions, he liked someone and saw he has a slight chance so he took it. If the bff was out of the picture, people would support him y'know? Also, he didn't show any malicious intentions towards the mc and there's nothing wrong with casual dating he suggested. He's valid for feeling hurt and jealous with mc and ml's relationship. And tbh, he didn't push mc to do the things he wanted to do while dating, he waited PATIENTLY for the mc to reach out, and felt hurt whenever he didn't. I say he deserves better.
