The events of this story are happening in the 90s so it is normal for his mother to be chocked at little Jinwoo's confession as same sex love was a taboo back then. As for his father I think he run away and left his wife and son with a lot of debt so she decided to hide from the lawn sharks and even changed Jinwoo's name and gender to a female and this is when little Jinwoo's perspective of gender and love started to deform.

Why did I felt like his father was gay or like that cause how jinwoo's mother's reaction towards jinwoo liking man was I just don't know that's how I felt like how jinwoo was kinda of reluctant towards accepting daehan's feelings but now he has recognised his first love it's gonna be make daehan happy when he recognise that jinwoo was also his first love
