Some of the comments are wild. I don’t get how people can read stuff with rape and enjoy it.Sure it’s fiction but the thought of someone enjoying a story while knowing one of the persons in the relationship is a victim annoys the fuck out of me.You are part of the problem romanticizing stories like this. People can do whatever they want but do not throw the excuse of fiction does not equal reality to justify reading stuff like this. I really don’t see the point of reading this story unless someone likes psychological reads instead of a romance one.

Fiction allows people to explore difficult and even disturbing topics in a controlled environment, separate from reality. Engaging with a story that contains dark themes doesn’t mean someone endorses or romanticizes those themes in real life. People consume fiction for various reasons—some analyze psychological aspects, some explore complex narratives, and others may simply appreciate the storytelling, even if it’s uncomfortable and saying they are "part of the problem" just because they enjoy a piece of media is quite unfair, some people like watching horror movies, that doesn't mean they want to go around chopping people up.
The distinction between fiction and reality exists for a reason, and people process media in different ways without it reflecting their real-life morals or belief

I agree to a certain extent extent! Fiction and reality are separate stuff and fiction wouldn’t be fun if it wasn’t well, fiction. But when I said they are part of the problem I said to those “romanticizing” these types of stories. Also I do not think anyone who reads these types of stuff are all bad people hell I’ve read dark content too and everyone has their own purposes for reading these contents or just for the sake of fun ! Of course I also don’t think Im god who should police people with what they wanna do with their lives but as I said before romanticizing these stories doesn’t do anyone any good I’ve also met people who’ve become so desensitized to irl stuff because of it. Well I don’t wanna type too much but specifically was talking about the people who down play these heavy topics

If fiction affects someone to the point of hurting themselves or others, the problem isn't fiction, is the person.
Normally people who "down play" these topics are minors, which aren't the target audience for these kind of stuff (rightfully so).
Even so, some authors/artists can portray any kind of abuse in a lot of ways that a lot people can or cannot agree, and that's ok, as long as u don't harass the artist just because u don't agree with the despiction of a certain situation.
