I think she regained some of her past life memories. The main reason Belize is being nice to her is mainly because both in the novel and her previous life, Diana was a nice, kind-hearted person, or at least to Belize, she seemed like it. Belize felt bad for her treatment towards Diana, that’s why she’s trying to be nice. But Diana was either always this evil and vindictive or she gained her past memories which made her hate Belize.
I’m guessing she hates her because in reality Belize has a more powerful divine power, especially since she has divine eye. It’s only because the evil church stole her powers, Diana had the upper hand in the previous life. Not to mention Edwin always liked Belize in both life and hates Diana. She thinks it’s unfair that Belize gets sponsored by the Duke’s family, even when she no longer had her divine powers and is loved by them, even with the way she acted. While Diana on the other hand, the one who is revered as the Saintess, is used/abused by the maquis. Even tho she has the other from the other mls, she wanted Edwin. She’s really just a jealous bitch.
