Hating a female character because they “get” in the way of an mlm pairing is (most of the time) rooted in misogyny, we cannot apply this exact same logic to disliking a male character for “getting in the way” for a wlw ship, there is no male equivalent for misogyny, men are not systematically oppressed in the same way women have been and currently are. There are nuances and LAYERS to this conversation, and depending on the context, the hate is or isn’t justifiable.

That is true. We live in a patriarchial society after all. Men and women might be legally considered equal, but if we are talking about society, that is a completely different Story. Men on a larger scale dont experience what women experience. Mysandry is in no way as prevalent of a Problem as mysogyny. Misogyny is deeper and far more engraved in society than the concept of “misandry”. There are no historical examples of women abusing and controlling men due to their sex in the same way men have been doing towards women throughout the course of history. There are hundred thousands of cases of women being exploited and insulted by men due to their sex, this is not the case with men. Men are not systematically oppressed, therefore, they cannot experience a male version of misogyny, this is simply pure facts.

Precisely!! Despite both men and women suffering under the patriarchy, it is important to note the numerous intersections of issues and how men STILL benefit more from the patriarchy. The suffering men have underwent isn’t a type of “male misogyny” or “Misandry”, rather it is the consequences of misogyny. Men were stereotyped to be strong as they saw being weak as feminine (misogyny,) men were told to play with cars and wear blue because being anything otherwise is feminine (misogyny), so on and so forth. The person you responded to didnt say that men dont suffer, but that men do not suffer to the same extent as women do. They dont get treated like a "walking coochie" (as in only being perceived in terms of sex). Men often talk about other women in shitty ways, like saying that one girl looks like a witch and calling her a whore behind her back. Women (at least the majority of women) do not talk about men in such a way

I'm not talking about real-life situations at all here. Ofcourse misogyny has affected more women than more men. I'm a feminist as well for which we Just get cursed at, villified too irl. And it's not a simple thing. Yet I stand on my point that if you hate a character in any non straight genre manga or manhwa only because of gender it's sexism. Nothing else. I do not condone such deep rooted bias in real-life but I'm here talkin about fictional character. I have seen equally hateful comments about both female characters and male characters. I dislike both.

Fiction is a reflection of our perspective of the real world. Like, insulting a female character, calling her a bitch, a whore, etc etc, even if you don’t do that irl shows how you have a misogynistic mindset because using those to refer to women, fictional or not, is inherently misogynistic. Moreover, the scenario you’re posing is just. Once again, completely different.
