It could theoretically be possible, but makes the risk of aspiration (stuff getting in the lungs) much higher, not to mention if the person is sick with anything viral, that's a great way to pass it on.
Don't know why they don't use a straw, or a water bottle with a squirt top ...
Ikr, that'd be easier. And swallowing is a reflex so even if you pour water in a sleeping person's mouth they can drink it unconsciously, but maybe you'd need to tilt the head a bit.
You know sometimes in a manga a person gets sick and cannot drink water for some reason so her/his lover feeds them water by mouth.
Like taking the water in their own mouth, then pouring it into the other's with a kiss. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
