you’re right, it’s fiction! so imagine how tiring it is for use BIPoC, mainly black and brown folks having to deal with this so often. why is it that even in fantasy we cant escape these annoying stereotypes.
the problem isn’t having a group of people be seen as inherently violent due to prejudice. the problem lies with the fact that its always the fictional races of our races. its always the only darker skin tone characters in the story.
