I mean that’s pretty realistic in the way that humans tend to contradict themselves and change their opinions 24/7. It makes more sense for a realistic person to not stay 100% on board with a single thought.
Plus chase has clearly been shown to be lenient on josh compared to others. The fact that josh is the only one that fights and argues back and still isn’t fired says a lot. Chase probably lets it go out of his own curiosity to see what josh would do.

Adding onto Josh’s case: I’d say he clearly knows what he thinks is best, but both his wants and pride tend to overtake his mind lmao. His mind says he wants to quickly do the job and get the money. While his pride doesn’t take chase’s behavior so he retaliates. As well as his instinct/heart wants chase. So he’s a relatable person ngl

ur giving too much benefit for an ill-suited situation. this explanation leaves out a major factor that influenced his decision stay away from chase + his attention in the first place
it would be realistic if mc not blatantly made his kid his priority and knows the chase family would take custody over his kid if they knew who he was. atm his motivations and actions are misaligned to the extreme and i think it’s fair to point it out? as i already stated, mc snapping back and fighting with chase is refreshing! however to this degree… it doesn’t flow with what he has to protect. i know chase is more lenient and enjoy this dynamic. im not saying he shouldn’t fight back at all, its just that he’s doing way too much for someone who could lose both his job or kid for 10 seconds of relief. he took on this risky assignment because of his family needing the money, so no it’s not really realistic he’s putting himself in compromising situations over and over. there’s merit to his recklessness but not when it’s flying too close to the sun

well yea he’s relatable, but not realistic lmao!! if everyone had the balls to retaliate against their abusive boss they would in the perfect world, where the only thing they had to lose was employment but still got their fair wages. but in this case, chase is from a dangerous powerful family and josh desperately needs money and his circle out of chase’s sight. i don’t think my criticism is that crazy tbr, i love a fiery mc but can call a spade a spade- which is that he’s risking everything for quick adrenaline and satisfaction </3

I think you’re misunderstanding what I said? I said he was realistic in the way that REAL human beings in the REAL world are contradictory. Hence why I mentioned thought process was realistic as well. And real life humans aren’t one dimensional and think strictly one way.
I didn’t say his actions were realistic or relatable. I said how he THINKS is realistic and relatable that he changes his mind often like most do.

this statement is kinda back tracking im lost. josh is realistic with his thoughts, so then your comments were implying his actions make sense/fit the narrative… and then afterwards you said he’s a relatable person because of multiple things, including his behavior vs mind conflicting
since the recklessness is what im criticizing, it looked like you were saying otherwise because he’s so human in his thoughts ?? and then your second paragraph felt like confirmation
but also your three (3) bolded is a little overkill ngl
i thought his boldness was cute and refreshing but now its genuinely insane and doesn’t make sense with the conflicting background information. he’s trying to stay out of chases sight but is also constantly taunting or provoking him ? the other times made sense a little bit because chase egged him on first, but there is supposed to be a power dynamic! chase could just ask for a new body guard to replace mc or just decide to make his life hell….
we know his goal is to get his quick money and go. im all for mc getting his petty revenge is minor moments but he’s doing bold things that obviously puts him and his family on the radar
