No, he doesn’t know if he’ll die or not. And she isn’t dumb. Latest chapter shows they’ve gone through a similar scenario while in the demon realm where she manipulated him into falling in love with her so she could kill him in the end. Only change is they fell in love with each other
So the demon king guy and MC were alike in some ways and fell in love… but he rips his own heart out to make her stay with him - even though he’s immortal so he won’t die by doing that? - He makes it out like he will die if his heart is ripped out but he doesn’t die from that or he would have done than in the beginning to kill himself since that’s what he wanted… so he’s just manipulating her…
*sigh* I want to like this story and I kinda do but it’s kinda boring how quickly it’s progressing towards pointless romance (and manipulation) without much drama related to other stuff, the main character is also kinda disappointing since she seems strong minded at first but she’s actually easily manipulated and just goes along with the whims of the guy who saved her… (Stockholm syndrome?)
