does anyone have spoilers from the novel? What happens after she leaves

She goes to America, finds that lady’s brother, starts working there, ends up dating him (or another guy?), meets Ian again, after some drama they date again.
It’s a good bit of time before she actually sees Ian again so, if you like Ian, come back in a couple months or something. Depending how long they’ll draw it out.
